Near deadly miss for our snowman!
I was so excited for the snow to arrive and boy did it! Yesterday we had a horrible ice storm that continued into the night and about 230am the willow tree in our neighbors yard fell and hit our house, then rolled of into our yard. Let me tell you, there is nothing like waking up and hearing and feeling a tree coming your way! Daris and I ran into Robyn's room and I swear, our feet never touched the ground! Luckily Robyn slept through the whole thing. We ran outside and check everything out. It was so light outside from the snow that we didn't even use our flashlights. Our gutters took the biggest hit. The roof and fence our fine!!! We were surprised to see the snowman still standing. The tree took it's time falling the rest of the morning, so every time the branches were breaking I was freaking out. I've been up since 230 so I'm a little tired. Brother Barker came over and helped me clean up the mess. Thank you so much Jeremy!!!! I hate to see what branches are coming down tonight!
It's been a couple of days since starting this post.....The day after the tree feel, the snow was melting very fast and water was everywhere. Luckily the Conrad's came down to help clean up our mess....and two hours after they arrived the power went out. So we ended up spending the night with them and staying warm. The power came back on the next night and we were so happy to be able to return to home. now if only trash day would hurry up and get here, I would be a happy woman! Best snow week EVER!!

Magnets
Magnets... Robyn LOVES them. All kinds, all shapes, all colors. She plays with them all the time at her Grandma's house. She loves to drags them all the way down the refrigerator and throw them on the floor. So Christmas came around and Grandma kindly bought Robyn some of her own magnets and a leap frog animal sing a long that uses magnets. I was so happy, thinking she would have so much fun with them! Well, she did! All over our kitchen floor and under the refrigerator and under the stove. She's only had them for two weeks and pieces are missing already and some are broken, due to mommy and daddy stepping on them. All I have to say is Ikea saved the magnets from the black hole of a trash can. They have magnet boards!!!!!! We bought one and put it up in Robyn's room, so now she can play and drag to her hearts content and we can walk around our kitchen without stepping and slipping on magnets. :)
Around and around we go!
Here are some pictures of Robyn's very first merry-go-round ride. Luckily for us it's small enough that we didn't have to ride with her. We'd both be puking our guts out! Hopefully it takes her a while to realize the larger one on the other side of the mall. I promise she was smiling all the way around, just never when I took a picture!

Sorry about the before picture, had to dig into Robyn's baby book and then scan it. I couldn't figure out how to rotate the picture!
